DV562ECO110 Music recording
Gabriel Abril. Producer. Musician.
“The Demvox booths have been the solution to having a studio at home. Not only because of the sound that can be generated by the outside recording, but also because of the outside noise, which can easily get through the mics if the insulation is not good. In that respect I couldn't be happier with the booths.
I am currently using two, an ECO110 for recording vocals, acoustic guitars and percussion and a DV562 for the control room. In the latter, the door is made of glass, which gives it much more space. This is another advantage when you spend many hours mixing inside the studio, as it allows natural light to enter without losing soundproofing. To communicate them, the windows of both booths were placed at the same height, as well as a system of cable grommets for the microphones. Another of the doubts was whether the sound inside the control room would be correct when mixing. In this aspect, the result is remarkable, the whole interior is lined with absorbent material and the sound is faithful to what comes out of the listening room. From the outside, and with a fairly high volume, you can barely hear a distant murmur, which could be the radio of any neighbour.
The recording equipment is mounted on two 16-unit racks, making it easy to transport all the equipment quickly. For me, who has had several studio locations, that was another of the premises, to be able to move everything easily and reassemble it without losing the sound that you have become accustomed to after hours of work. If we add to that the availability of the Demvox technicians, to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the booths, the decision has been a good one”.”
