DV562ECO110 Music recording

Gabriel Abril. Producer. Musician.

“The Demvox booths have been the solution to have a studio at home. Not only because of the sound that can be generated by the outside recording, but also because of the outside noise, which can easily leak through the mics if the insulation is not good. In that respect I couldn't be happier with the booths.

I am currently using two, an ECO110 for recording vocals, acoustic guitars and percussion and a DV562 for the control room. In the latter, the door is glass, which gives it much more amplitude. This is an added advantage when you spend many hours mixing inside the studio, as it allows natural light to enter without losing soundproofing. To communicate them, the windows of one and the other booth were placed at the same height and a system of cable glands for the microphones. Another doubt was whether the sound inside the control room would be correct when mixing. In this aspect the result is remarkable, the entire interior is lined with absorbent material and the sound is faithful to what comes out of the listeners. From the outside, and with a fairly high volume, you can barely hear a distant murmur, which could be the radio of any neighbor.

The recording equipment is mounted on two 16-unit racks, making it easy to transport all the equipment quickly. For me, who has had several locations in the studio, that was another of the premises, to be able to move everything easily and reassemble it without losing the sound that you have become accustomed to after hours of work. If we add to that the availability of Demvox technicians, to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the booths, the decision has been a wise one.”
